Do my customers need to install anything?
No. DinExtra runs entirely on WhatsApp — which your customers already have. A simple message to your number opens their dedicated experience.
How much does DinExtra cost?
No fixed fees and no subscription: DinExtra only charges a commission on payments collected through the platform, and everything else is free within the scope of reasonable use. The commission rate is set individually based on the size and needs of your establishment, so that the resources made available to you are matched as closely as possible, and it is communicated to you transparently after an initial conversation.
How long until I'm up and running?
Setup takes anywhere from a few hours to a few days depending on your situation. The initial configuration — menu, opening hours, WhatsApp number — is handled entirely by our team; you then retain full control from your dashboard to adjust everything on your own.
Which languages does the chatbot speak?
French, English, Italian, Spanish, German, Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, Portuguese, Greek, Japanese, Finnish, Swedish, Danish, Turkish, Hindi — that's 16 languages. The chatbot automatically detects the customer's language and replies in the same language.
Can I edit my menu myself?
Yes, fully. You access a secure web dashboard from your phone where you can add, edit or remove dishes, change your opening hours, manage staff and view statistics.
Are payments secure?
Yes. Payments go through Stripe, the global industry leader, with end-to-end encryption and PCI-DSS compliance. We never store card data.
Are there any fees in addition to the commission?
The only additional fees are the banking fees related to payment, charged by Stripe, our payment provider. These are standard transaction fees, independent of DinExtra, and detailed transparently on your invoices.
Is there a minimum commitment period?
No. A service agreement is established between your establishment and DinExtra, with no commitment period: you remain free to terminate it at any time.
What do I need to get started?
Very little: a phone with WhatsApp and an internet connection are enough, with no specific equipment required — no tablet, no printer. You simply need to provide us with a phone number, mobile or landline, which will become the contact number for your WhatsApp chatbot.
Why WhatsApp rather than an app?
Because your customers already use WhatsApp every day: no app to install, no account to create, no friction. Combined with services that are largely free — you only pay a commission on online payments — this makes it one of the most accessible ways to digitise your reservations and orders.
